Home Design Model Decision
|
Selecting a model I got the idea for my next model when I was watching an old Hollywood movie called "The Bridges at Toko-Ri" starring William Holden and Grace Kelly. This quite heroic flick about the Korea war is full of flight scenes featuring the F9F Panther (and also the F2H Banshee if you look close enough). This compact but very streamlined jet immediately cought my attention. So it will be my next model. Generally you should select a model that you can get a little crazy about cause this helps a lot keeping focussed during the time consuming design process. Now you have to decide on which version you like to model, a contantly reoccuring problem in military aviation. For me it will probably be the F9F-5. The finishb will be that of a Navy-plane in navy-blue. To keep track of all the versions, Wikipedia is a great source of information with lots of types allready documented. So much on selecting a task. I will talk more about researching information later on.
